frequently asked questions
how much experience do you have?
Enough to know that the best photographs rarely happen on schedule. I have been shooting weddings for [X] years, across [countries/regions], in every kind of light and weather a Mediterranean summer — or a Parisian November — can throw at you. What that experience actually means for you is this: on the day, I will not be figuring anything out. I will simply be present, watching, and ready. That is worth more than any number of credits.
what if i am not good at posing?
Almost everyone says this. Almost no one means it — what they mean is that they have been photographed badly before. There is a difference. I do not pose people so much as I position them, then give them something real to do: look at each other, walk, talk, laugh at something only they understand. The camera stops being the point very quickly. The photographs that come from that are never stiff, never awkward, and never look like a catalogue shoot. They look like you, on a very good day.
what happens if the weather is terrible?
We work with it. Some of the most beautiful wedding photographs I have ever taken happened in the rain, in fog, in that strange flat light that comes just before a storm. Weather is not the enemy of a great photograph — bad light management is. I have shot in every condition and I have never once come home without images I am proud of. Your day will be documented beautifully, whatever the sky decides to do.
how far in advance should i book?
For peak season dates — late spring through early autumn, and anything in Mallorca, Italy, or the South of France — I would recommend reaching out at least 12 months in advance. I work with a limited number of couples each year by choice, not by accident. It keeps the work at the level it needs to be. If your date is sooner, send me a message anyway — I occasionally have openings, and it costs nothing to ask.
